Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Anti-plastic drive: On September 2, 2022, an anti-plastic campaign was spearheaded by the IQAC. Armed with placards containing meaningful slogans and information, and brooms, 15 student participants marched steadily outside the college campus, into a neighbouring area, consisting of several local shops and eateries, thereby, littered with a lot of organic and inorganic waste materials. Under the guidance and supervision of the teachers, some students stood on each side of the road with the placards, while others picked up their brooms, dusted the road and collected littered trash to dispose of them in dustbins, which were being carried by college staff. This not only helped students to convey a strong message of awareness and hope among the onlookers, but also generated a sense of team-building among them. It was an instance in which students received the opportunity to learn by ‘doing’.
Tree Plantation Drive: A tree plantation drive was organised on April 22, 2022, as a part of Earth Day Celebrations, during which students planted seeds in the college grounds.
